I guess i need to stop by from time to time…who knows, maybe someday xanga will be popular again!

New Updates:

1. I’m not working even though i’ve had some job offers because I don’t have a proper work permit to work legally.
2. I’m running out of money quickly because of #1.
3. I’m looking for a job that will sponsor a work visa.
4. With regard to #3, I have had two people suggest an interest today in sponsoring a visa. This would be really good news if it goes through.
5. I’m engaged which is really exciting. We have an engagement party scheduled for 16 May and the wedding is not yet scheduled but will be sometime between October and January. Right now we’re talking October…
6. Winter is right around the corner and the weather in Sydney is looking more and more like winter.
7. It snowed for the first time in Victoria, ski resorts are opening but I heard that it’s going to warm up again so this weekend is the time to go if you want to take advantatge of the snow.
8. I’ve escaped the cold 60 degree weather by coming to the tropical north to be with my fiance for several days.

Hi all, does anyone need a BBQ grill? I have a nice WEBER gas bbq grill in garden grove that needs to go, i need to find a home for it, if you need or would like to start grilling some sirloins or anything else let me know and i’ll let you know how to get it. thanks!

I think I can, I think I can, I think I can…

OK, here I am.  Still around and as far as I can tell, still breathing.  Here’s the latest…

I’m over half way through my second semester at uni and just started the spring break, a week off to catch up.  I’m enjoying the programme and learning a lot, but there is still so much to learn.  I’m teaching part time and also working as a research assistant for a professor.  I’m learning that public health is a lot about research, I think i can hang with that, i kinda like it.

I’ve been trying to find a church that is near home so that i could just zip over and maybe even get involved in a small group…I found one, it’s called Hillsong.  I didn’t realise but it is a 5 minute bike ride away, i really like the worship and for anyone that knows I have the likes of Reuben Morgan leading worship on any given day.  It’s a blessing to have those kinds of resources available to pump you up.

Not much else going on, really, i don’t have a very exciting life now but i’m ok with that.  I hope everyone in the xanga community is doing well, i read your updates even though i don’t make comments.  Hopefully i won’t go so long before my next post…but…no promises!

What is wrong with this?

I didn’t take this picture, but it is a bushy-tailed opossum.  I saw one of these buggas in a tree outside my place the other night, couldn’t figure out what it was until someone told me.  So yeah, a lot better looking than the american opossum but still not something i’d want as a pet.
